Long Beach and John Wayne airports received bomb threats this morning, but no devices were found, officials said.
Officials received a threat at Long Beach about 3:30 a.m., according to public affairs spokeswoman Sharon Diggs-Jackson. Nothing was found during a search of the area.
The first flights were scheduled for 7 a.m. and some were briefly delayed because of the threat, she said. One flight was consolidated with an 8 a.m. flight.
There was some initial confusion said a passenger, Robert Miller, 36, of West Palm Beach, Fla. He said he was supposed to fly home Monday night after visiting his 10-year son in North Hollywood, but that flight was delayed because of Hurricane Wilma.
When he arrived at Long Beach airport this morning, he said he was greeted by a flurry of activity. By around 8:30 a.m., however, the scene had quieted and all was going smoothly, the pharmacy graduate student said.
"It was a zoo but I think they got all of the animals in the cage," Miller said.
